Clinical Analysis of 20 Cases with Ureteral Calculi After Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy Combined with Acute Intestinal Obstruction

Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of acute intestinal obstruction combined with the ureteral calculi after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and analyze causes.Methods Retrospectively analyzing the general information , clinical manifestation, laboratory and imaging examination , treatment and outcome of 20 cases with ureteral calculi after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy combined with acute intestinal obstruction from Oct .2012 to Nov.2013 in Tianjin Nankai Hospital.Results 20 patients were treated with enema , gastrointestinal decompression , anti -inflammatory , rehydration and dachengqi granula in the hospital preparations (formula for glauber′s salt, rhubarb, acid-insoluble ash, Magnolia cortex), 18 cases with intestinal obstruction symptoms disappeared in 6 days, and 2 elderly patients were treated in the hospital.Conclusion Ureteral calculi after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy can be combined with acute intestinal obstruction , and the operators should pay attention to it.
