Clinical Evaluation of Multislice Spiral CT in the Detection of Ureter Calcul
Abstract：Objective To assess the diagnostic value of multislice spiral CT reconstruction in detection of ureter calculi .Methods MSCT scan and reconstruction were performed in 36 cases suspected as ureter calculi with negative results of ultrasound or KUB.Reconstruction methods included: curved planar reformatting , maximum intensity projection and shaded volume display.Results The detection rates of calculi was 100% by MSCT thin thickness scanning and MSCT reconstruction , in addition, the location, size and morphology of calculi and the ureter obstruction could be clearly demonstrated in MSCT image .Conclusion The axial images combined with reconstruction of MSCT can quickly and accurately make the diagnosis of ueterolithiasis with high clinical value .
