Expression and Significance of FGF-2 and MM P-9 Gene in Nasal Polyps
Abstract：Objective To investigate the expressive difference of fibroblast growth factor -2, ( FGF-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9( MMP-9 ) gene in nasal polyp tissue a,nd to explore the role in the formation of nasal polyps .Methods In the observation group , 30 cases with nasal polyposis had nasal polyps endoscopic operation treatment ;6 cases with nasal septum deviation ( no previous history of chronic nasal sinusitis history ) uncinate process mucosa were in the control group.The selected patients didn′t use systemic or local glucocorticoid hormones and other nasal drug before 6 weeks,respectively.HE staining and immunohistochemical method was used to detect the protein expression of FGF-2 and MMP -9 in two groups.The results were statistically analyzed.Results Fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF-2) and matrix metalloproteinase -9 (MMP-9) has higher normal uncinate mucosal expression in nasal polyps.Conlcus oin FGF-2 and MMP -9 in nasal polyps may promote high expression of nasal polyp formation and development .
