Effect Analysis of Prosopalgia Treated with Lamotrigine and Carbamazepine

Abstract：Objective To discuss the clinical effect comparison and significance of lamotrigine and carbamazepine for treatment of prosopalgia.Methods 100patientswithprosopalgiawererandomlychosenanddividedintoAandBgroup,with50casesineachgroup.A group was given lamotrigine for treatment while B group was given karbamazepine.Total effective rates and VAS scores after 1 to 2 months treatment of the 2 groups were compared.Results Total effective rate of A group , which was 90%obviously higher than B group 82.0%( P<0.05 );VAS scores of patients of A group were obviously higher than B group ( P<0.05 ).Conclusion Both lamotrigine and car-bamazepine have obvious clinical effect for treatment of prosopalgia.Lamotrigine as a new antiepileptic drug has better clinical effect for the diseases.
