Abstract:Objective To investigate the illness integration status among young and middle-aged hospitalized patients with heart failure and analyze its influencing factors. Methods A total of 353 young and middle-aged hospitalized heart failure patients were surveyed using the General Information Questionnaire, the Long-Term Condition Questionnaire, and the Memorial Symptom Assessment Scale-Heart Failure. Results The score of illness integration in young and middle-aged hospitalized heart failure patients was(63.56±9.98),and the score of symptom burden was(61.96±29.16).The illness integration was negatively correlated with symptom burden(r=-0.467,P<0.001).Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that age, education level, readmission within a year,NYHA classification,Prognostic Nutritional Index, and symptom burden level were influencing factors of illness integration(P<0.05).Conclusion The illness integration of young and middle-aged heart hospitalized failure patients is at a moderate level and required further improvement.Healthcare professionals should create targeted interventions based on the contributing factors to improve their illness integration.
