Current Status and Influencing Factors of Humanization Nursing Ability of Nursing Interns in the Pre-internship Period

Abstract：Objective To investigate the current situation and influencing factors of humanization nursing ability of nursing interns in the pre-internship period,and to provide reference for formulating promotion strategies.Methods Based on the theory of empathy dynamics,412 nursing interns in the pre-internship period of four tertiary grade A hospitals in Zhejiang Province were investigated from July to September 2023 by using the General Information Questionnaire,the Healthcare Professional Humanization Scale for Nursing and the Self-Compassion Scale.Results The total score of humanization nursing ability of nursing interns in the pre-internship period was(63.50±8.57),and the total score of self-compassion was(83.48±10.89).There was a positive correlation between humanization nursing ability and self-compassion(r=0.612,P<0.01).Gender,personality,whether being a student cadre,attitude towards the nursing profession,the degree of respect for the nursing profession and self-compassion were the main influencing factors of humanization nursing ability of nursing interns in the pre-internship period(all P<0.05),which together explained 48.9%of the total variation of humanization nursing ability.Conclusion The humanization nursing ability of nursing interns in the pre-internship period needs to be improved,and self-compassion related training is helpful to improve their humanized nursing ability.
