Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship and mechanism between perceived stress and resilience among the nurses working in hemodialysis units. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among a total of 180 hemodialysis nurses from 6 tertiary grade A hospi-tals in Shandong Province using the general information questionnaire, the Perceived Stress Scale(PSS),Big Five Inventory(BFI),Nurse Perceived Organizational Support Scale(NPOSS)and Resilience Scale. Results The scores of nurses in the hemodialysis unit for perceived stress was(28.77±2.23),neuroticism was(20.59±5.97),perceived organizational support was(49.19±11.57),and resilience was(80.39±9.72).Except for the positive correlation between perceived stress and neuroticism(r=0.197,P<0.01),and the positive correlation between perceived organizational support and resilience(r=0.514,P<0.01),all other variables were negatively correlated(r=-0.243~-0.796,P<0.01).Perceived organizational support played a complete mediating effect between perceived stress and resilience, while neuroticism played a moderating effect between perceived stress and organizational support(β=-0.139,P<0.01).Conclusion The resilience of hemodi-alysis nurses is at a relatively high level.Strengthening the sense of organizational support and reducing the neurotic level are conducive to im-proving their resilience level.
