Research on the current situation and influencing factors of interdisciplinary collaboration ability of nurses in palliative care

Abstract:Objective To investigate the current situation of interdisciplinary collaboration ability among palliative care nurses and an-alyze the impacts of palliative care interdisciplinary collaboration palliative care knowledge self-reported palliative care practice health work environment assessment and team reflection on the interdisciplinary collaboration ability of palliative care nurses.Method A survey was con-ducted among a total of 322 palliative care nurses from 5 tertiary grade A hospitals in Haikou City using General Information Questionnaire,Modified Index of Interdisciplinary Collaboration,Nursing Staff Knowledge Questionnaire on Palliative Care,Palliative Care Self Reported Practices Scale and The AACN Healthy Work Environment Assessment Scale.Results The score of interdisciplinary collaboration in pallia-tive care for palliative care nurses was(157.88±16.97)points.The score of palliative care knowledge was(13.93±2.67)points.The score of self-reported palliative care practice was(65.39±16.04)points.The score of health work environment assessment was(58.73±12.83)points,and the score of team reflection was(47.61±2.79)points.Interdisciplinary collaboration in palliative care palliative care knowledge self-re-ported palliative care practice health work environment assessment and team reflection were all negatively correlated(P<0.01).Multiple line-ar regression analysis showed that the willingness to participate in palliative care the department where they work palliative care knowledge self-reported palliative care practice health work environment assessment and team reflection were factors affecting the interdisciplinary col-laboration ability of palliative care nurses(P<0.05).Conclusion The interdisciplinary collaboration ability of palliative care nurses is at an above-average level influenced by factors such as their willingness to participate in palliative care cognition of palliative care practical ability in palliative care team reflection ability and the health work environment and team reflection.Managers should formulate targeted intervention programs to improve the interdisciplinary collaboration ability of palliative care nurses.
