Latent profile analysis of subjective social isolation in elderly patients with schizophrenia

Abstract:Objective To analyze the latent profile and characteristics of subjective social isolation in elderly patients with schizophre-nia.Methods From March 2023 to February 2024,245 elderly patients with schizophrenia in stable stage after discharge from the department of clinical psychology of a hospital in lishui were selected as subjects.General Information Questionnaire,Perceived Isolation Scale,Barthel Activity of Daily Living Index,Self-Rating Anxiety Scale,Self-Rating Depression Scale,Stigma Scale for Mental Illness of Chinese and Mi-shel's Uncertainty in Illness Scale were selected to investigate them.Based on the latent profile analysis(LPA),the perceived isolation latent profile was obtained,and to analyze the influencing factors of the perceived isolation in different profiles.Results The score of the subjective social isolation in elderly patients with schizophrenia was(16.91±5.52),which was divided into three sections:"low subjective social isolation group"(29.39%),"medium subjective social isolation group"(53.47%)and"high subjective social isolation group"(17.14%).Disorder-ed multi-classification Logistic regression analysis showed that gender,age,marital status,number of chronic diseases,place of residence,family per capita monthly income,daily activity ability,anxiety,depression,stigma and disease uncertainty were significant influencing factors of subjective social isolation in elderly patients with schizophrenia(P<0.05).Conclusion The subjective social isolation of elderly patients with schizophrenia is at a medium level,which can be divided into three sections:"low subjective social isolation group","medium subjective social isolation group"and"high subjective social isolation group".Nurses should provide high-quality continuous care to improve their quali-ty of life and alleviate their psychological burden,and help them build confidence in social interaction.
