Abstract:Objective To summarize the best evidence for preventing complications during peripheral intravenous infusion of pituitrin using evidence-based methods. Methods Literature on peripheral intravenous infusion of pituitrin was systematically searched in Chinese and English databases, with the search time ranging from the establishment of each database to May 31,2025.Two researchers trained in evi-dence-based courses independently screened and evaluated the quality of the literature according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and research topics, and extracted and summarized the evidence. Results Twelve literatures were included:1 guideline,1 expert consensus,4 systematic reviews, and 6 randomized controlled trials.Finally,17 best pieces of evidence were summarized in three aspects:selection of infusion vessels and tools, standardization of infusion operation and pathway maintenance, and optimization measures for nursing manage-ment and evaluation. Conclusion The best evidence of preventive measures for complications of pituitrin intravenous infusion summarized in the study is beneficial for clinical nursing practice.Translating the evidence into practice can improve nursing safety and quality,ultimate-ly benefiting patients.
