Abstract:Objective To establish a risk prediction model for preoperative anxiety in children with humerus supracondylar fracture and verify its prediction effect. Methods A total of 120 children with humerus fracture supracondy admitted to a hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were enrolled.Participants were categorized into two groups:none or mild anxiety, moderate or severe anxiety.Logistic regression analysis was used to establish a risk prediction model.Additionally, another cohort of 80 children with humerus supracondylar fractures was se-lected for external validation of the model. Results Among the 120 children in the modeling group,61.67%(74/120)exhibited no anxiety or mild anxiety, while 38.33%(46/120)presented with moderate to severe anxiety.Logistic regression analysis revealed that age, cognitive level, temperament type, parenting style, and parental anxiety were significant predictors of preoperative anxiety. These factors were ranked by importance:age, temperament type, anxiety of parents, parenting style, cognitive level of children. Conclusion Preoperative anxiety in chil-dren with humerus supracondylar fracture requires improvement, with key influencing factors including age, cognitive level, temperament type, parenting style and parental anxiety. The risk prediction model for preoperative anxiety in children with humerus supracondylar fracture based on this has good prediction efficiency, and can provide reference for clinical screening of preoperative anxiety.
