Abstract:Objective To explore the current status of fall risk perception and its influencing factors in gynecological tumor patients with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy(CIPN),in order to provide a reference for formulating precise fall prevention strategies for these patients. Methods Using the convenience sampling method,a total of 378 patients undergoing chemotherapy for gynecological cancer who were hospitalized in the gynecology department of a tertiary grade A obstetrics and gynecology hospital in Nanjing from January to May 2024 were selected as the survey subjects. The general information questionnaire, comprehensive assessment scale for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in survivors of cancer,Fall Risk Perception Questionnaire for Patients,Morse Fall Scale and Barthel Index were used for the investigation. Results The total score of fall risk perception in gynecological tumor patients with CIPN was 50.00(48.00,51.00).The multiple linear regression analysis showed that the perception of fall risk in gynecological tumor patients was significantly influenced by previ-ous fall history, physical condition, chemotherapy cycles, the degree of CIPN and fall risk(P<0.05).Conclusion The perception of fall risk among gynecological tumor patients with CIPN is at a moderate level. The perception is closely related to the severity of CIPN and the risk of falls and is also influenced by various factors. Therefore, nursing staff should pay attention to the perception of fall risk among gynecological tumor patients with CIPN,comprehensively consider the influencing factors of the patients, actively formulate personalized fall prevention strat-egies,and improve the overall quality of life of tumor patients.
