Analysis of the current status and influencing factors of nutritional nursing ability of ICU nurses in general hospitals

Abstract:Objective To explore the current status and influencing factors of ICU nurses'nutritional nursing ability,and to provide reference for formulating intervention measures.Methods The general information questionnaire,nutritional nursing ability scale,and sense of work vitality scale were used to survey a total of 259 ICU nurses in 8 general hospitals in Anhui Province.Results The score of nutritional nursing ability of ICU nurses was(214.15±36.59),which was positively correlated with the sense of work vitality(P<0.01).The frequency of using nutrition risk screening and assessment tools,awareness of patients'nutritional status,participation in nutrition knowledge training and assessment projects,and the sense of work vitality were the influencing factors of the nutritional nursing ability of ICU nurses(P<0.05).Conclusion ICU nurses'nutritional nursing ability is at an upper-middle level,and there is still room for improvement.Nursing managers can enhance the sense of work vitality of ICU nurses by establishing a scientific and fair incentive mechanisms,and establish standardized training and assessment programs to strengthen ICU nurses'nutritional knowledge and skills,thereby further improving their nutritional nursing ability for critically ill patients.
