Abstract:Objective To analyze the potential categories and influencing factors of fear of cancer recurrence in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Methods A total of 205 patients with non-small cell lung cancer were investigated using the general information questionnaire,Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory-Short Form,Social Constraint Scale, and Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire.Latent profile analysis was used to establish a latent category model of fear of cancer recurrence in two groups of non-small cell lung cancer patients.Binary Logistic regression analysis was conducted to explore the influencing factors of the latent classes of fear of cancer recurrence in non-small cell lung cancer patients. Results Patients with non-small cell lung cancer were divided into a low-level cancer recurrence fear group(44.39%)and a high-level cancer recurrence fear group(55.61%).Low educational level, low per capita monthly family income, high social constraint, and high disease perception were the influencing factors of cancer recurrence fear. Conclusion The fear of cancer recurrence in patients with non-small cell lung cancer is at a high level, with significant individual differences.Medical staff can formulate targeted interven-tion measures according to the characteristics of different categories of cancer recurrence fear in patients to reduce their level of fear of cancer recurrence.
