Current situation and influencing factors of self-compassion in patients with decompensated cirrhosis based on random forest model

Abstract:Objective To investigate the status of self-compassion and its influencing factors in patients with decompensated cirrhosis,providing a basis for formulating intervention measures.Methods The convenience sampling method was adopted to select a total of 274 pa-tients with decompensated cirrhosis from two tertiary grade A hospitals in Baise as the research objects.The Self-Compassion Scale,Social Support Rating Scale,Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale,and Medical Coping Style Questionnaire were used to investigate them.The ran-dom forest algorithm was applied to screen,rank,and filter the factors affecting self-compassion.Results The total score of self-compassion in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis was 46.00(30.00,50.00).The results of the random forest algorithm showed that the top eight factors influencing self-compassion in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis in importance were anxiety/depression,social support,fa-cing,resignation,avoidance,educational level,liver function grading,and per capita monthly family income.Conclusion The level of self-compassion in patients with decompensated cirrhosis needs improvement.Medical staff should formulate intervention measures based on relevant influencing factors,strengthen the social support system,actively guide patients to adopt effective coping styles,and improve the self-compassion level of patients with decompensated cirrhosis.
