Construction and clinical application of respiratory nursing subspecialty management model led by specialist nurses

Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application effect of the respiratory care subspecialty management model led by special-ized nurses.Methods The department of pulmonary and critical care medicine in a hospital in Huibei province implemented the respiratory care subprofessional management model led by specialist nurses from December 2021 to December 2023.The clinical core competence,per-ceived professional benefits,and professional identity were compared before and after the implementation of the model.Results After the im-plementation of the respiratory nursing subspecialty management model led by specialized nurses,the clinical core competence,perceived profes-sional benefits,and professional identity were all better than those of before,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of the respiratory care subspecialty management model led by specialized nurses can enhance nurses'core competencies and strengthen their perceived professional benefits and professional identity.The management model is helpful to clarify the career planning of nurses,provide a talent reserve for the training of professional nurses,and promote the development of nursing discipline.
