Research on the teaching practice of integrating "Post-Curriculum-Competition-Certification-Ideological" in the geriatric nursing course

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of the integration of"Post-Curriculum-Competition-Certification-Ideological"in the geriatric nursing course.Methods A total of 219 students majoring in higher vocational nursing of the 2022 grade in a certain school were selected as the research subjects.The "Post-Curriculum-Competition-Certification-Ideological" teaching reform was implemented for the research subjects.The self-before-after comparison method was adopted to compare the humanistic care ability,nurse-patient communica-tion ability,the pass rate of the"1+X" elderly care vocational skills certificate examination and the award-winning situation of skills competi-tions of the nursing students before and after the teaching reform.Results After the implementation of the teaching reform,the students'on-line learning participation was more than 95.89%,the training participation was 100.00%.The scores of humanistic care ability and nurse-pa-tient communication ability were significantly improved comparing with those before teaching reform,and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(P＜0.01,or P＜0.05).The passing rate of"1+X" certificate for Grade 2022 students was 100.00%;The elderly care related competition won a good result.Conclusion The integrated teaching mode of"Post-Curriculum-Competition-Certification-Ideological" is helpful to im-prove students'learning effect and professional quality,and has obtained a high degree of students'recognition.It provides a reference for the reform of integration of "Post-Curriculum-Competition-Certification-Ideological" in nursing vocational education.
