Abstract:Objective To explore the mediating effect of pain resilience between spouse pain-relevant response and self-reported pain in primary liver cancer patients with cancer pain. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among a total of 238 patients with primary liver cancer pain admitted to a tertiary Class A hospital in Xi'an by using the general information questionnaire,Scale of Pain-Relevant Re-sponses from Spouse for Chronic Pain Patients,Pain Resilience Scale, and Global Pain Scale. Results The score of spouse pain-relevant re-sponse of patients with primary liver cancer pain was(45.08±13.14).The score of pain resilience was(32.05±9.58),and the score of self-reported pain was(143.67±29.63).Spouse pain-relevant response was positively correlated with pain resilience(r=0.534,P<0.01),and nega-tively correlated with self-reported pain(r=-0.693,P<0.01).Pain resilience was negatively correlated with self-reported pain(r=-0.676,P<0.01).Pain resilience played a partial mediating effect between spouse pain-relevant response and self-reported pain in patients with pri-mary liver cancer pain, accounting for 35.73%of the total effect. Conclusion The self-reported pain in primary liver cancer pain patients is at a high level.Spouse pain-relevant response can directly affect self-reported pain or indirectly affect self-reported pain through pain resilience. The cancer pain symptoms in primary liver patients can be alleviated by increasing the levels of spouse pain-relevant response and pain resilience.
