Social avoidance and distress in young and middle-aged women with systemic lupus erythematosus:a latent profile analysis

Abstract:Objective To investigate the current status of social avoidance and distress in young and middle-aged women with system-ic lupus erythematosus(SLE),and analyze its potential profile and influencing factors.Methods a total of 441 young and middle-aged fe-male patients with SLE in 2 tertiary A hospitals of Changsha city were investigated by general information questionnaire,Social Avoidance and Distress Scale,Social Impact Scale,Questionnaire for the Assessment of Self-Disgust and Perceived Social Support Scale.The potential profile characteristics and influencing factors were analyzed.Results Social avoidance and distress in young and middle-aged female patients with SLE could be divided into three potential categories,including low-level group(23.36%),moderate-level group(44.22%)and high-level group(32.43%).The influencing factors were occupational status,weekly exercise frequency,social impact,self-disgust and perceived social support(P<0.05).Conclusion Social avoidance and distress in young and middle-aged female patients with SLE exhibits significant heter-ogeneity.Medical staff should pay attention to their social avoidance and distress,identify its influencing factors,and formulate corresponding intervention to relieve psychological distress of patients.
