Study on the relationship between nurses'regulatory focus and workplace deviation behavior

Abstract：Objective To investigate the current situation of nurses'regulatory focus and workplace deviation behavior,and analyze its relationship.Methods A total of 1 050 nurses from 3 tertiary class A hospitals in Xi'an were investigated from June to August 2023 by using the general data scale,Nurses'Regulatory Focus Scale and Nurses'Professional Deviant Behavior Scale.Results The total score of nurses'regulatory focus was(47.12±4.86).The total score of workplace deviation behavior was(41.22±4.28).Nurses'regulatory focus was negative-ly correlated with worplace deviation behavior(r=-0.638,P＜0.001).Age,professional title,working years,regulatory focus were the factors that affect nurses'work deviation behavior(all P＜0.01).Conclusion The nurses'regulatory focus is at a higher level,and workplace devia-tion behavior is at a low level.The work deviation behavior should be reduced by stimulating and strengthening the regulatory focus of nurses.
