Application of Bianstone cupping therapy combined with Benson relaxation technique in patients with inflammatory bowel dis-ease

Abstract：Objective To explore the effects of Bianstone cupping therapy combined with Benson relaxation technique on patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).Methods A total of 101 patients with IBD were divided into a control group(n=51)and an experimen-tal group(n=50)using random number table method.The control group received conventional treatment and care,while the experimental group were given a combination of Bianstone cupping therapy and Benson relaxation technique routine care.The symptoms,clinical efficacy,anxiety and depression,sleep quality,fatigue level,and quality of life were compared between two groups.Results Compared with the control group,the symptoms of patients in the experimental group were significantly alleviated(P＜0.01).And the experimental group demonstrated significantly greater improvements in clinical efficacy,anxiety and depression,sleep quality,fatigue level and quality of life(P＜0.01 or P＜0.05).Conclusion By implementing Bianstone cupping therapy combined with Benson relaxation technique effectively alleviates IBD symptoms,enhances clinical efficacy and sleep quality,alleviate related psychological issues in IBD patients,and improves the quality of life of patients.
