Summary of best evidence on pain assessment and non-drug interventions in children with cancer

Abstract:Objective To summerize the best evidence for non-pharmacological intervention of in children with cancer.Methods Na-tional and international databases for best evidence on non-drug intervention in children with cancer was systematically searched and the quality evaluation,evidence extraction and summary were carried out.The retrieval period was from the establishment of database to October 1,2024.Results A total of 22 literatures were included,including 2 guidelines,1 expert consensus,12 systematic reviews,6 evidence sum-maries and 1 clinical decision.A total of 25 pieces of evidence were categories from the aspects of evaluation and measurement,non-pharma-cological intervention and family companion management.Conclusion Medical staff should pay attention to the pain evaluation of children with cancer and select the best evidence according to the clinical situation,children's wishes and cultural background,and formulate appropri-ate non-pharmacological intervention programs to improve the pain experience of children with cancer.
