Abstract:Most patients in intensive care units(ICU)require mechanical ventilation and undergo pulmonary rehabilitation to improve lung compliance. The evaluation and guidance of rehabilitation programs are often supported by relevant assessment tools.Bedside point-of-care ultrasound(POCUS)has gradually become a preferred option for evaluating and guiding pulmonary rehabilitation due to its convenience and safety.Nurses can use semi-quantitative analysis of POCUS to monitor and guide the treatment of lung diseases and rehabilitation train-ing,thereby improving work efficiency and promoting patient recovery. The article reviews the current research on nurses using POCUS for pul-monary rehabilitation in mechanically ventilated patients, focusing on posture management, airway clearance techniques, and muscle training. It also analyzes challenges from the perspectives of application competence, operational standards, and risk management.Recommendations in-clude strengthening systematic specialized training for nurses in POCUS,establishing unified operational standards, and optimizing hospital in-fection risk management systems. These suggestions aim to provide a reference for nurses using POCUS to guide pulmonary rehabilitation training.
