The application of patient-family-centered good death intervention on families of patients with malignancy

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of patient-family-centered good death intervention on quality of life,mental health,mental coping and effect of expected grief from patients with malignant tumors.Methods A total of 86 groups of malignant tumor patients and their families who in a Anhui Provincial hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected by convenient sampling method,and they were divided into 44 groups in the experimental group and 42 groups in the control group by random number table.The control group received conventional psychology,and the experimental group received a patient-family-centered intervention program which was carried out according to the three progressive themes of "reviewing the past,grasping the present,and facing the future".The quality of life,mental health and mental coping level of patients were evaluated.The expected grief of the patient's family was assessed.Results After the intervention,the scores of quality of life,mental health and mental coping in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the expec-ted grief of family members in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Patient-family-cen-tered good death intervention is a suitable family intestinal intervention method for malignant tumor patients,it can improve patients'quality of life,mental health,and mental coping level,and reduce the degree of expected sadness of patients'families.
