A practical study on the sensitive index system of enteral nutrition nursing quality for hospitalized patients

Abstract：Objective To explore the construction effect of the sensitive index system of enteral nutrition nursing quality in patients.Methods The evidence related to the evaluation of enteral nutrition nursing quality was retrieved,and the related sensitive index system was constructed.A total of 133 inpatients who underwent enteral nutrition support in January 2023 in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery,Pancreatic Surgery,Thoracic Surgery,and Neurosurgery from a tertiary hospital in Wuhan were selected as the control group,and received rou-tine enteral nutrition support nursing.In July 2023,151 inpatients who underwent enteral nutrition support were selected to the observation group.Finally,the knowledge score of enteral nutrition,correct rate of enteral nutrition support process,implementation rate of enteral nutrition nursing assessment,complication rate of enteral nutrition,knowledge of enteral nutrition and satisfaction of enteral nutrition nursing work of the hospitalized patients in the two groups were compared before and after the implementation of enteral nutrition nursing.Results After the in-tervention,the scores of nurses'enteral nutrition knowledge was(90.07±4.97).The correct rate of infusion speed,feeding tube flushing,feed-ing tube administration was 92.00％,98.00％,and 94.00％,respectively.The compliance rate of bed head elevation of 30°～45°,the execution rate of confirming the position of feeding tube and the correct rate of feeding tube fixation were 100％.All of that were higher than those before intervention with significantly statistical difference(P＜0.05).The implementation rate of nutritional risk screening and nutritional status as-sessment in the observation group were 100％,the score of enteral nutrition knowledge was(88.52±4.25)and the score of satisfaction with nursing was(90.19±7.44),which were higher than those in the control group with significantly statistical difference(P＜0.05).The incidence of aspiration,diarrhea,and unplanned extubation of feeding tube was 0.66％,27.15％,and 1.99％,respectively,which were lower than those of the control group with significantly statistical difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion The sensitive indicators of enteral nutrition nursing can im-prove the level of enteral nutrition knowledge and the quality of enteral nutrition nursing,which is conducive to reducing the enteral nutrition complications and ensuring the nutritional safety of hospitalized patients.
