The study on the influence of nurses'perceived level of care management on their caring behavior

Abstract:Objective To investigate the current status of nurses'caring behaviors and perceived management care,and to analyze the correlation between them.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted with a total of 442 clinical nurses by using general date question-naire,Caring Behavior Inventory(CBI)and Caring Assessment Tool-administration(CAT-admin).Results The total score of CBI was(131.79±15.41)and the total score of CAT-admin was(125.55±21.29).The multiple linear regression analysis showed that work area and nurses'perception of managerial caring were the main influencing factors of nurses'caring behaviors(P<0.05),together explaining accounted 22.2%of the total variance in caring behaviors.Conclusion The nursing care behavior and management care perception are both at a high level,and nurses'caring behaviors is influenced by the work area and nursing management care perception.The nursing managers should adopt targeted management and care measures based on the needs of nurses in different areas,create a good humanistic care atmosphere,to further enhance the level of nursing care behavior.
