The influence of hospital magnetic elements and head nurses'empowering on nurses'advocacy behavior

Abstract：Objective To understand the current situation of nurses'advocacy behavior,and explore the influence of hospital magnetic element and head nurses'empowering on nurses'advocacy behavior,so as to provide theoretical basis for later relevant research and provide reference for promoting the management countermeasures of nurses'advocacy behavior.Methods From January to April 2024,a General In-formation Questionnaire,the Nurses'Advice Behavior Scale,the Hospital Magnetic Elements Scale,and the Nurse Leader's Empowerment Be-havior Scale were used to survey 948 nurses in three tertiary hospitals in Xi'an.Results The total score of nurses'advocacy behavior was(36.79±8.62).The total score of hospital magnetic element was(111.35±16.73).The total score of the empowered behavior of the head nurse was(156.66±21.26).Nurses'advocacy behavior was positively correlated with hospital magnetic element and empowering behavior of head nurses(r1=0.385,r2=0.428,P＜0.01).Age,job title,working years,hospital magnetic element and empowering behaviors of head nurses were the main influencing factors of nurses'advocacy behavior(all P＜0.01).Conclusion Nurses'advocacy behavior is at a moderate level.Manag-ers can further promote nurses'advocacy behavior by improving the hospital magnetic elements and adjusting the empowering behaviors given to nurses.
