The analysis of the current status and influencing factors of 1 098 nurses'information competence in grade A tertiary hospi-tals

Abstract:Objective To explore the current status of nurses'information competency in grade A tertiary hospitals and analyze its in-fluencing factors.Methods A total of 1 098 nurses from grade A tertiary hospitals were selected as the research subjects and invested them by general information questionnaire,nurses'information competency assessment scale,information literacy questionnaire,evidence-based nursing ability rating scale,and innovation self-efficacy questionnaire.Results The total score of information competence of nurses in grade A tertiary hospitals was(85.93±20.90),the total score of information literacy was(72.89±14.89),the total score of evidence-based nursing ability was 53.00(40.00,69.00),and the total score of innovation self-efficacy was(28.77±5.96).The nurses'information competence was positively correlated with information literacy,evidence-based nursing ability and innovative self-efficacy(P<0.01).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the job title,receiving professional training related to nursing information,hosting or participating in research projects,infor-mation literacy,evidence-based nursing competence and innovative self-efficacy were the influencing factors of nurses'information competence,which together explained 69.5%of the variance in nurses'information competence.Conclusion The information competency of nurses in grade A tertiary hospitals is at the upper middle level and nursing managers should formulate a training program for nursing information talents accord-ing to the influencing factors to improve the information competency level of nurses and promote the development of nursing informatization.
