Abstract:Objective To explore the construction and application effects of a remote home-based care platform for children with hypo-spadias.Methods A total of 104 children who underwent hypospadias surgery with routine care from January 2019 to January 2021 were se-lected as the control group, while 202 children who received home-based follow-up care through a remote care platform from February 2021 to October 2024 were selected as the observation group. The control group received routine care interventions, while the observation group utilized the remote home-based care platform which included modules such as family guidance, home care instructions, appointment scheduling, online consultations, and evaluations. The psychological resilience levels and caregiving abilities of the caregivers, the postoperative outcomes of the children and the parent satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The psychological resilience, caregiver ability and satis-faction scores of parents in the observation group at discharge,1 month,3 months and 6 months were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The remote home-based care platform has proven to be highly effective in enhancing the psychological resilience, caregiving a-bilities of parents after hypospadias surgery, reduce postoperative complications and improve patients outcomes. It can serve as an effective method for implementing continuous care remotely and holds significant value for clinical promotion.
