Abstract:Objective To explore the mediating effect of disease acceptance between psychological resilience and sense of personal control in type 2 diabetes patients. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 248 patients with type 2 diabetes in a Guangxi hospital by using general data questionnaire,10-item Connor-Davidson resilience scale,Acceptance of Illness Scale and personal mastery scale. Results The total score of mental resilience, disease acceptance and sense of personal control in patients with type 2 diabetes were(26.61±2.56),(26.72±3.80)and(26.90±3.87),respectively.The psychological resilience, disease acceptance and sense of personal control in patients with type 2 diabetes were positively correlated(r1=0.283,r2=0.392,r3=0.412,all P<0.01).Disease acceptance played a partial mediating role in the relationship between psychological resilience and sense of personal control in type 2 diabetes patients. The mediating effect was 0.093,accounted for 23.72%of total effects. Conclusion The sense of personal control in type 2 diabetes patients is above the me-dium level, and disease acceptance plays an intermediary role in the relationship between psychological resilience and sense of personal con-trol in type 2 diabetes patients, suggesting that clinical nurses can improve the level of mental resilience and disease acceptance in type 2 dia-betes patients, and the two aspects can jointly promote the sense of personal control in patients.
