Abstract:Maintaining skin integrity as well as preventing skin-related complications is one of the key nursing focuses for critically ill patients. But some skin integrity impairment is caused by the acute skin failure and subcutaneous tissue due to hypoperfusion,i.e.,acute skin failure(ASF).As an emerging concept, research in ASF field in China is in its infancy, and medical staff are not aware of it enough. The study summarizes the concept, current status, risk assessment and risk factors of ASF,and proposes reasonable suggestions and prospects for stand-ardizing skin management of critically ill patients, developing a localized acute skin failure risk assessment tool, and strengthening nurses'identification and education and training of acute skin failure. The purpose is to strengthen medical staff's attention to ASF,provide guidance and reference for scientific, systematic and refined clinical work,so as to improve the quality of skin care.
