Research on the application of curriculum ideology and politics immersion narrative teaching model in the teaching of nursing students before practice

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of curriculum ideology and politics immersion narrative teaching model for nursing students before practice.Methods From February 2023 to April 2023,115 third-year undergraduate nursing students of the 2020 cohort in a universi-ty in Anhui Province were selected as research objects by cluster sampling method.Taking Nursing Comprehensive Practice course as the start-ing point,the curriculum ideology and politics immersion narrative teaching model was adopted,integrating narrative teaching into online pre-view before class,offline teaching during class and independent learning after class,and infiltrating ideological and political elements in cour-ses.Caring Ability Inventory,Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version,and reflective diary were used to evaluate the teaching effect.Results After the course,the scores of students'humanistic caring ability and critical thinking were higher than those before the course,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After analyzing the reflection diary,three themes were obtained:enhanced belief in humanistic care,improved critical thinking ability in nursing,and improved teaching effectiveness.Conclusion Curriculum ideology and politics immersion narrative teaching model can improve the humanistic caring ability and critical thinking of nursing students before practice,and can be implemented in nursing teaching.
