A review of the scope of nursing deficiencies based on nursing procedures

Abstract：Objective To systematically analyze the related research on nursing deficiencies based on nursing procedures,summarize the specific content,types and causes of nursing deficiencies,in order to provide reference for medical staff to carry out relevant intervention in the future.Methods The Cochrane library,CINAHL,PubMed,Embase,Medline,China Biology Medicine Disc,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Data Knowledge service Platform,VIP Chinese Science and Technology Journal database(VIP)and other domestic and foreign databases were searched according to the research method of scoping review.The search time range was from the estab-lishment of the database to November 20,2023.The included literature was screened,refined and summarized for analysis.Results Finally,14 articles that met the criteria were included.The most missing nursing content was basic nursing while the most missing nursing process was nursing assessment.The main reasons were divided into four dimensions:human resources,material resources,communication and organization management.Conclusion The existing nursing deficiencies only investigates three procedural steps in the nursing procedures,which is in-complete and there are many aspects of nursing content missing.In the future,new tools can be compiled to consider the 5 steps of the nursing procedures,give full play to the unity,standardization and guiding role of nursing procedure in nursing,and make improvements in organiza-tional management to reduce nursing deficiencies and improve nursing quality.
