Abstract:Objective To investigate the status quo of knowledge, attitude and practice(KAP)of dietary control in asymptomatic hy-peruricemia patients and analyze its influencing factors. Methods A total of 296 asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients were surveyed using the general data questionnaire,Knowledge,Attitude, and Practice on Diet Control Questionnaire for Patients with Hyperuricemia,Patient Acti-vation Measure-13.Results The total score of KAP for dietary control in asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients was(88.91±12.39).The to-tal score of the patient activity was(24.43±7.07).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that being male, having a history of"three highs"(hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and hyperglycemia),alcohol consumption, exercise less than 5,000 steps per day,and low active dis-ease management were main factors affecting the KAP of dietary control in asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion The level of knowledge, attitude and practice of diet control in asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients require improvement.Indi-vidualized intervention strategies should be taken to enhance the level of knowledge, attitude and practice of diet control.
