Chinese version of Coronary Artery Disease Patient Empowerment Scale and its reliability and validity test

Abstract：Objective To introduce the Coronary Artery Disease Empowerment Scale(CADES)for Chinese translation and verify its reliability and validity.Methods Through cultural debugging,expert consultation and pre-survey,the Chinese version of CADES was deter-mined,and the reliability and validity of the scale were tested.Results The Chinese version of CADES had 3 dimensions and 25 items,which were disease self-management(12 items),emotional self-regulation(7 items),and disease management risk perception(6 items).By ex-tracting three common factors for factor analysis,the cumulative contribution rate was 59.001% .The content validity index of the items was 0.712～1.000,and the average content validity index of the scale was 0.891.The overall Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.912,the Cronbach's α coefficient of each dimension was between 0.873 and 0.972,and the test-retest reliability was 0.904.Conclusion The Chinese version of CADES has good reliability and validity,and the overall content is easy to answer.It can be used as a tool to evaluate and predict the empowerment level of patients with coronary artery disease.
