Current status and influencing factors of self-regulating fatigue of new nurses during standardized training

Abstract:Objective To investigate the status quo of self-regulation fatigue of new nurses during training period and analyze its influ-encing factors.Methods A total of 446 new nurses from 12 specialized and general hospitals in Jiangsu Province were investigated by general data questionnaire,self-regulation fatigue scale,organizational support questionnaire and personal-job matching scale.Results The score of self-regulation fatigue was(43.89±8.65),and the organizational support and person-job matching were negatively correlated with self-regu-lation fatigue(P<0.01).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the main influencing factors of self-regulated fatigue of new nurses during the training period included the reasons for choosing nursing major,competence for clinical work,health status and personal-job matc-hing(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion The current statue of self-regulated fatigue of new nurses during training period is at a moderate level and needed to be further improved.Managers could formulate intervention measures according to the main influencing factors to reduce their self-regulated fatigue degree,so as to promote their physical and mental health and maintain the best working state.
