The application of dyadic coping intervention in assisted reproductive technology pregnant women and their spouses

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of dyadic coping intervention in assisted reproductive technology on coping lev-el and marital adjustment of pregnant women and their spouses.Methods A total of 71 couples of assisted reproductive technology pregnant women and their spouses who were registered and underwent prenatal examinations from Dec.2021 to Jun.2022 were selected as the control group,and 71 couples of assisted reproductive technology pregnant women and their spouses who were registered and underwent prenatal ex-aminations from Jul.2022 to Dec.2022 were selected as the observation group.The control group received routine nursing care,while the obser-vation group received a dyadic coping model on the basis of the control group.The dyadic coping and marital adjustment situations of the two groups of pregnant women and their spouses before and after intervention were compared.Results After the implication of the intervention,the dyadic coping score of pregnant women(146.25±9.27)and spouses(139.89±9.33)in the observation group were higher than pregnant women(123.44±10.75)and spouses(122.41±10.33)in the control group.The marital adjustment score of pregnant women(125.55±11.46)and spou-ses(123.87±10.84)in the observation group were higher than pregnant women(116.90±9.94)and spoused(117.07±11.10)in the control group.The improvement of the two groups marital adjustment level in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group.There were significant differences between the two groups(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of dyadic coping intervention model in pregnant women conceived by assisted reproductive technology and their spouses can significantly improve the coping level and marital adjust-ment of both husband and wife and improve intimate relationship.
