Mediating effect of psychological congruence between family function and quality of life among elderly multiparas

Abstract：Objective To explore the mediating effect of psychological consistence between family function and quality of life among eld-erly multiparas.Methods Using convenience sampling method,a total of 344 elderly postpartum women from 4 tertiary grade A hospitals were selected as the research subjects from June to December of 2022.General information questionnaire,Family Assessment Device,Sense of Coher-ence-13 and Short From 36 Questionnaire were used to investigate.The structural equation model was used to verify the impact of family function and psychological consistency on the quality of life of elderly postpartum women.Results The score of family function was(141.41±12.81),the score of psychological consistency was(63.99±8.86)and the score of quality of life was(62.32±21.32).There was a significant positive cor-relation between family function and psychological consistency(r=0.521,P＜0.01)and quality of life(r=0.573,P＜0.01).There was a sig-nificant positive correlation between psychological consistency and quality of life(r=0.587,P＜0.01).Family function has a positive predic-tive effect on psychological consistency and quality of life,with statistically significant.Psychological consistency can positively predict quality of life.The mediating model of psychological consistency between family function and quality of life of elderly multiparas was established.Conclusion The quality of life of elderly multiparas is better,and have good family function and psychological consistency.Psychological consistency plays a partial mediating role on family function and quality of life.Medical staff can take targeted measures to improve the family function level of elderly multiparas,promote their psychological consistency level,and improve their quality of life.
