Characteristics classification and influencing factors of clinical nurses'innovation ability based on latent profile analysis

Abstract:Objective The latent class and characteristics of clinical nurses'innovation ability were investigated,and the influencing factors were analyzed.Methods A total of 496 nurses were surveyed by general data questionnaire and Innovation&Creativity Effectiveness Assessment.Results The total average score of nurses'innovation ability was(2.82±0.70),which was at a medium to low level.According to the model fitting results,three latent classes were finally determined,which were low innovation ability group(38.91%),medium innovation ability group(43.15%)and high innovation ability group(17.94%).The highest educational background,working age,professional title,posi-tion and marital status of nurses were the factors affecting different latent classes of nurses'innovation ability.Conclusion The overall level of clinical nurses'innovation ability is low,and there are many factors affecting the innovation ability of clinical nurses.Nursing managers should strengthen the training of clinical nurses'innovation consciousness,and provide necessary conditions and policy support for the practice and transformation of nursing innovation.
