Development and application of nursing quality management system based on Access database

Abstract：Objective Develop and utilize nursing quality management system based on Access database,and discuss its practice and effectiveness in nursing quality management.Methods Established a team to build the nursing quality management system.Constructed an Access database based nursing quality management system through literature review,semi-structured interviews and Delphi correspondence.Applied it to the nursing quality inspection in hospital,and compared the nursing quality inspection scores,the time spent on quality control inspection work,the time spent on quality control analysis,and the acceptance of information technology among quality control personnel be-fore and after the implementation of the nursing quality management system.Results After using the system,all the quality inspection scores were higher than those before the application.The nursing quality score after 6 months of application was higher than after 3 months(P＜0.001),the average time spent on quality control inspection work and on quality control analysis were significantly reduced(P＜0.001),and the total score of information technology acceptance behavior of quality control personel was improved(P＜0.001).Conclusion Based on Access data-base,nursing quality management system makes nursing quality inspection more targeted and effective.At the same time,it makes the nursing quality inspection statistical analysis automotive and scientific,improve the information technology acceptance of nursing quality control per-sonnel and nursing quality management efficiency,and promote continuous improvement of nursing quality.
