Latent profile analysis of work alienation among emergency department nurses

Abstract:Objective To explore the subtype of work alienation among nurses in emergency department and its demographic features,and to analyze differences in the characteristics of nurses with different subtypes.Methods From January to March 2023,a total of 318 nur-ses in emergency department was investigated by questionnaires,who came from 14 tertiary hospitals in Beijing,Shandong,Shaanxi,and He'nan Province.Using latent profile analysis to identify their work alienation subtypes.Results The work alienation of nurses in emergency department were classified as low,medium,and high,which had significant difference in age,marital status,education background,profession-al title,and years of working(P<0.01).Conclusion There is significant heterogeneity in the work alienation among emergency department nurses.Nursing managers should establish a system of targeted interventions to reduce nurses'work alienation based on the influencing factors of each category.
