Best evidence summary for post-stroke fatigue screening and non-pharmacological management

Abstract:Objective By summarizing the relevant evidence for post-stroke fatigue(PSF)screening and non-pharmacological man-agement,in order to provide evidence-based on clinical practice.Methods To search the evidence for PSF screening and non-pharmacologic management from relevant databases and websites,and the search deadline was from the establishment of the database to June 8,2023.The ev-idence was evaluated for quality and evidence was extracted and summarized for literature that meet the quality criteria.Results A total of 16 papers were included in the literature,including 2 clinical decisions,2 evidence summaries,3 guidelines,1 expert consensus,and 8 sys-tematic evaluations.The summary of 19 best pieces of evidence focused on three areas which included prevention,screening,and non-pharma-cological management of PSF patients.Conclusion The summarized evidence of PSF screening and non-pharmacologic management provides evidence-based on clinical practice.It is recommended that healthcare professionals should apply evidence based on clinical scenarios to help patients reduce symptoms of fatigue and improve their quality of life through scientific and standardized screening and management.
