The current situation and influencing factors of transformation shock among newly graduated nurses

Abstract:Objective To investigate the current situation of transformation shock among newly graduated nurses and explore its influ-encing factors.Methods A general data questionnaire and the transformation shock of newly graduated nurses scale were used to investigate 911 new nurses in 8 tertiary hospitals in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.Results The transformation shock score of 911 new nurses was(78.60±18.13).Multiple linear regression results showed that the number of night shifts per month was the influencing factor of the transfor-mation shock of new nurses.Conclusion The shock level of new nurses'transformation needs to be improved,and nursing managers can alle-viate the impact of new nurses in the process of role change and promote their role adaptation through reasonable scheduling.
