Mediating effect analysis of work engagement between family-work enrichment and innovative behavior of nurses

Abstract：Objective To explore the mediating effect of work engagement between family-work enrichment and innovative behavior a-mong nurses.Methods Totally,507 nurses from 4 3A-level hospitals in Beijing,Zhengzhou and Chongqing were recruited by convenience sampling method.The general information questionnaire,the Work-family Enrichment Scale(WFES),the Gallup Workplace Audit,and the Nurse Innovative Behavior Scale were used to investigate.Results The results of path analysis showed that family-work enrichment and work engagement could positively predict innovative behavior directly,and engagement played a mediating role between family-work enrichment and innovative behavior.Conclusion Nursing managers should take corresponding measures to provide family support and work support for nurses,improve their working environment and strengthen humanistic care,improve their family-work enrichment,enhance their engagement,and promote innovative behavior.
