Establishment and evaluation of knowledge-attitude-practice questionnaire for ICU-acquired weakness

Abstract：Objective To construct an ICU-acquired weakness knowledge-attitude-practice questionnaire (ICU-AWKABQ) for ICU nurses and to test its validity and reliability.Methods The primary questionnaire was developed by literature review, semi-structured interview and Delphi technique based on knowledge-attitude-practice theory.Totally, 302 ICU nurses were selected to examine the reliability and validity of the ICU-AWKABQ.Results The ICU-AWKABQ included 30 items.Exploratory factor analysis revealed that 4 factors accounted for 64.84％ of the accumulated variances.The questionnaire-level content validity index (S-CVI) was 0.960, and the Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.928, the test-retest reliability coefficient ranged from 0.804 to 1.000.Conclusion The ICU-AWKAPQ is scientific and reliable, and it is significance to measure the level of knowledge-attitude-practice of ICU nurses about ICU-acquired weakness in China.
