The positive effect of experiential group sand table activity on neuropsychiatric nurses'emotion

Abstract:Objective To explore positive effect of experiential group sand table activity on neuropsychiatric nurses' emotion. Methods Totally,202 neuropsychiatric nurses joined the study with 3 times experiential sand table play,which included determining sand table topic,warming-up before experience,electing"banker",medilating,putting sand bodies,sharing stories,and pledge of secrecy.The anx?iety and depression,the nurse burnout inventory,the self-efficacy and the overall well-being index in nurses were analyzed before and after the intervention.Results The anxiety level of nurses decreased ( P<0.01),the level of professional burnout decreased ( P<0.05),and the self-efficacy improved (P<0.01) after intervention.Conclusion The experiential group sand table activity has positive effect on neurological nurses,and can reduces the anxiety level and professional burnout of nurses,improve the self-efficacy.It is necessary to expand in clinic.
