Construction of performance appraisal index system for head nurses

Abstract：Objective To develop performance appraisal index system for head nurses in hospitals.Methods Based on the three－di?mension performance framework,a performance appraisal index system for head nurses was developed by using literature analysis method, qualitative research,expert panel discussion and Delphi technique.Results The performance appraisal index system for head nurses included 3 first－level items,9 second－level items and 63 third－level items.Conclusion The performance appraisal index system provide reference for evaluating head nurses＇performance scientifically and comprehensively.
