Reliability and validity of the nurse medication environmental perception scale

Abstract：Objective To develop the nurse medication environmental perception scale and test its reliability and validity to provide an effec?tive assessment tool for evaluating nurses＇medication environment.Methods Through reviewing relevant literature,the scale was formed by semi－structured interview and Delphi Method.It＇s reliability and validity were analyzed by software SPSS 19.0 and software AMOS 17.0 .Results The scale included 5 dimensions which were system and supervision,instruments and equipment,environment,nurse and medical staff,and 32 items.Five common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis and the cumulative contribution rate was 59.10%.All the indexes of confirmatory factor analysis meet the requirements.The S－CVI of the scale was 0.947 and the Cronbach＇s α coefficient was 0.909 and the re－test reliability was 0.993. Conclusion The scale has high reliability and validity,which can be used to measure nurse medication environment.
