Application of 5S health education management model in health education for breast cancer patients

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of 5S health education management model in patients with breast cancer,and pro-vide the basis for clinical promotion.Methods Totally,286 breast cancer patients who underwent radical mastectomy in a cancer hospital from April 2016 to March 2017 were selected as the subjects.A total of 151 patients from April 2016 to September were treated as the control group, and 135 patients from October 2016 to March 2017 were treated as the intervention group. The control group received routine health education method,and the intervention group received Seiri,Seiton,Seiso,Seikeetsu,Shitsuke,5S health education management intervention model for health education.The health promoting lifestyle and the compliance of functional exercise after breast cancer operation were compared between the two groups.Results By adopting the management model of health education of 5S in patients with breast cancer,health promoting behavior score and each dimension score were significantly higher than those in the control group ( P<0.01) ,postoperative functional exercise compliance score and each dimension score were also significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion The 5S health education management model is superior to the conventional health education model,and it is recommended to be widely applied in clinic.
