The disease cognitive status and influencing factors of patients with ulcerative colitis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the disease cognitive status and influencing factors of patients with ulcerative colitis ( UC ) in Xinjiang Autonomous Region. Methods A total of 216 UC patients were investigated with the Crohn's and Colitis Knowledge Score (CCKNOW).Results The CCKNOW score of UC patients was (8.27±3.12).The influencing factors were course of disease,times of hospi-talization,educational background and minority successively.Conclusion The disease cognitive level of Xinjiang UC patients are relatively low.Nurses should select individualized health education contents and methods,so as to improve their self-management ability.
